Re: Westone Spectrum DX

The DX is a nice solid little player and holds its tuning very well. The fact that it has the string locking plates is a big bonus! Those things are always "lost" on most of the Spectrums you see. Bloody nuisance. My DX was also in bad shape when I got it, but it came back to life very nicely and is ...

Re: Matsumoku Polaris (Azumi) DC 1982 - Natural

Interesting indeed. Another Mats made label I didn't know about.

A lot of the architecture is familiar, but those pups, original?
They look kinda modern to moi.

Re: Westone Thunder II

I agree Crusty. As much as I love my Thunders (and that colour in particular) this asking price, even after a reduction is much too high. In Canadian funds especially: C$732.02 + C$366.74 Shipping!!! I can buy any number of excellent new guitars for a thousand dollars! It does have the MMK53 pups ...

Re: These folks are a laugh, although rather painful

Re: This Vantage Avenger is NOT going to last long....

*SOLD already* But oh wow, what a fantastic buy! And with the OHSC too. My red AV325's trans finish is just stunning, and of course being a Vantage it plays beautifully. It's an '81 and came with one of those lousy barrel saddle bridges (top loader) which were dropped in later builds in favour of a ...

Re: Aria Pro II ES Style Custom Natural 1980

That's gorgeous alright, looks like it just came off the showroom floor!

The pickups are new one on me, and kinda unusual to have a coil cut on this ES style, no?

Re: Quest Black Magic Strat

Don't think I've seen this model before.
Yeah, looks OK (after a run through the local car wash maybe). And the selector switch is, um, novel.
guitar produces sound through amp
That's always a good sign!
