It is definitely an '85 then. The early Koreans simply said Original Smooth Joint on the neck plate.
Now that you're revived this thread I am going to have to pull mine down and give it some love.

Re: Matsumoku Polaris (Azumi) DC 1982 - Natural
Not a confirmed Matt. It screams Daion to me. The bridge and cavity cover are unfamiliar as are the pickups. I would be skeptical this is a genuine Uncle Matt. Polaris has been used by a number of makers much like Memphis and Electra. Whatever it is it is sweet but the price tag adds a bit of bitter ...

Re: TS-400
One of the tuners has a caved in cover. I would be all over it but that heel. Might as well be a Les Paul. Electronics doesn't concern me at all. As many times as I've done it I could probably rewire a guitar in my sleep with my hands tied behind my back blindfolded. :D Well, almost anyway. :rofl ...

I can tell you it is no girly-man's guitar.
Mine is 10lbs, 3oz. It plays like a PE. I was playing it today with my new Quad Cortex.

Yup, and the post spacing is non-standard (not 81.5 - 82mm). I just can't see plunking down almost $500 for it in only fair condition when I got this for $442.85 all totaled new. Neckthru single cut, Les Paul Axcess killer. https://reverb.com/item/50587260-agile-al-3200mcc-25-1-2-inch-scale-multi ...

Westone Thunder II
I've been watching this on Reverb and the seller sent me an offer of $399 + $75 shipping. Not sure if it is worth it. Thoughts?

I'm sure that's an adventure with them skewed like that. I've replaced them with Strat Plus saddles and longer height screws and that worked like a charm.

Re: Electra Omega X220
I'm guessing the fingerboard has shrunk over time. One of the things my customers with vintage guitars complained about was fret sprout when in fact the fingerboard had not been treated properly in years. I can't tell for sure but it looks like the nut has slipped toward the treble side of the ...
